In addition to risk assessments some work activities may require a method statement.
A method statement is a detailed record of how a work task or process is to be carried out. A method statement should identify in detail the step by step method for carrying out the task or process and the control measures necessary to protect employees, members of the public and anyone else who could be affected by the work activity.
In certain circumstances the method statements may be requested for a range of high risk activities before work on those activites can commence.
In our experience method statements are increasingly requested by hosts, occupiers and owners of locations and studios.
Completing a method statement can be an arduous task for the untrained so why not let MSL assist you in this process or help train your Heads of Department?
